It is all about stopping the rainwater from penetrating the metal roof panels. The outer part of the roof can be made of metal sheets, of course, but rainwater mainly enters the metal roof through overlaps or joints from the inside. To get a leakage-free effect, sealing washers are installed at screw holes, and hidden fixing is used for the installation. At panel overlaps, sealant or welding is applied. Our prefab workshop buildings have the concept of using single-piece panels to solve the problem of partitions and provide tight waterproofing at all joints.
(1) To enhance the resistance to fire, the load-bearing steel parts of the prefabricated workshop building are covered with fire-retardant coatings by spraying. The specific approaches are mostly divided into types of thin-coat and thick-coat.
(2) Fire-retardant paint is a flame-retardant coating. In comparison with regular paint, the specialized foamed fire-retardant paint has a significantly higher ignition point even after air drying when exposed to fire, thus it has certain fire-retardant properties.
(3) The external surface of the prefabricated steel workshops is covered with one more layer of the outer cladding. The main research methods are widely varied: cast-in-place concrete, external masonry blocks, fire-resistant boards, felt-like flexible insulation material cladding, and spraying.
